Rev. Hogfelt took his place as the next church pastor July 25, 1897. He carried the work forward in a noble, faithful manner. Although no large revival resulted, souls were still won for the kingdom, and the word was proclaimed faithfully. Rev. Hogfelt took active part in the work of the U. P. Conference, and preached the Gospel in many surrounding places. He closed his ministry in Manistique in June 1901.
