P. Okerstrom
1923-1925
At an extra church business meeting, July 29, 1923, a call was extended to Rev. P. Okerstrom, which was accepted. He commenced his ministry September 15, 123. Several series of Evangelistic meetings were held during Rev. Okerstrom’s pastorate. The pastors, John Hugo, C. A. Aldeen and J. A. Kallman, assisted in these meetings with very good results. The Fortieth Anniversary was celebrated at which time Jacob Peterson and O. Hogfelt took part. Rev. Okerstrom’s leadership in the musical department was greatly appreciated while he was here. He induced the Mission Circle to put forth great efforts through various methods to raise large funds for the financial assistance of the church and other mission work. Due to failing health he resigned June 25, 1925 to seek medical aid. He later accepted the call to become pastor at Puyallup, Washington.
