Nels Grandahl was the next pastor who accepted a call extended to him by the church. The welcome reception for him and his family was held Oct. 26, 1918. With great enthusiasm he stepped into the work from the very first. A committee was appointed to encourage attendance of absentee members. Plans were laid for more progressive order. The yearly meetings were changed from August to January at this time. The weekly envelope system of giving was installed for the first time, January 1st, 1918. His talents along the musical line were manifested, in that he also stepped into position as choir director here. Two Evangelistic campaigns were conducted by Pastors Jacob Peterson and L.J. Olsen. His pastorate terminated June 1st, 1920.
